LED Spotlight / Vessel Light Fitting

Back to Overview

BS 6261**/6262**/6263**

Product Description and Application

LED spotlights of the BS 626*** series are used for the illumination of underground mines in hazardous areas of the category M2 as well as of industrial areas of the category 2G (zone 1) or category 2D (zone 21).

The spotlight consists of a flameproof aluminium enclosure with a bonded pane and it contains 12 high power LED. The Ex I emitter is produced with a plastic coated light alloy enclosure. Power supply is achieved via cables or intrinsically safe plug connectors from affiliated power supply units.

In mines the flameproof emitter is suitable for mobile and stationary equipment like storage-battery and diesel locomotives, locomotives, working platforms, dinting and loading machines, selective and full cut heading machines.

In the industry it is used as mobile and stationary lighting device, e. g. for working platforms, vessels (inspection glass illumination) etc.

Design - Technical Specifications

The emitter consists of a metal enclosure with safety glass pane and it contains 12 LED.

Depending on type, the emitter is operated with an intrinsically safe 12 V/1.5 A power supply unit, with an integrated power supply unit (100 V - 255 V AC/DC) or with 24 - 48 V AC/DC.

For Ex I applications the light alloy enclosure is plastic powder coated and additionally equipped with a tight protective cage of steel.
